A much more intense capture of the final few minutes of the UK entry to the Blackpool International Fireworks Competition. Although the previous image is my favorite, this one has been growing on me the more I study its detail. The subtle yellows and greens work great below that mass of red explosion. You can clearly make out how the rockets are being fired along the pier toward the camera, the smoke reflects the colour well. If the tide had been in further it would be more impressive, with a reflection below the pier, but I can’t have everything. I would encourage you to click on the image above to see the larger version, as it is much clearer with more detail.
