Southport has a very long pier, which is chiefly over developing land. One interesting note is a small skate park on the north side (on your right as you walk seaward along the pier). I found it interesting to watch the skaters and bikers because you look down on the park from (more…)
Yesterday I spent the day at Belle Vue Dog Races with Claire and her family. It was a very enjoyable day and although the weather wasn’t as good as last year’s visit I found the new camera equipment made for much better photos. I still found it very challenging due to the animals being so small and the spped that they run. I think to get really top quality photos you would need to go on a sunny summers day with a much faster lens that I can’t afford! You will never hear somebody saying Sports Photography equipment is cheap. But, never the less, I feel the camera performed very well considering it was handheld and not on a monopod.
